Business has always looked for how to appeal to consumers. They have tried telling you why their products are better or why their competitors are the worst. Now they have decided the best way is to go straight to the consumer and make them feel good about themselves for buying these items.
The idea is to not only make you feel good, they want you to feel smarter and even superior that you were the one to find these great products. Once you feel this way the natural progression is that you will want to tell others. So off you go to your social media sites like Facebook to tell all your friends about your brilliance and why they should try it as well.
People like references before they buy something new. Since social media is where many people now go when they are looking to buy something or for advice this is a perfect chance for them to find out what is working for their friends.
Some of the products aren’t actually new, they are just trying to modify themselves to increase sales. For example covers for your tissue boxes isn’t new but inserting family pictures into the covering to make it personal that is a new twist.
New products are also trying to break into the market. Try checking out the Orabrush which is designed solely for cleaning your tongue. Not sure why you need this? Last year social media helped sell millions of these.
So share your genius and share your best finds with everyone.
