You can find the informationin the cloud. How many times do you hear that phrase but do
you understand what it really means.
The cloud lets you share information, especially large files easily. Computers have limited storage and rather than keeping all the information on your computer you can keep the information in the cloud and access the files when needed.
It can also be used to share information. Transferring large files can be a challenge and being able to direct people to the location on the cloud is one way to do it easily.
One of the popular users of cloud technology is Amazon’s Kindle Fire. The actual hand held tablet has a limited number of books and files it can hold. But when you use the screen you can store books you have bought in the cloud and download them to the machine as needed. When you are finished you can send them back to the cloud for safekeeping and to give you more room on your device.
It can be confusing to understand how some of this technology works but recently I had a chance to see a video that gives a humorous look at how the cloud came to be and what it can offer. Check it out and see if this makes it easier to understand.
What do you think; are you using cloud technology at home or at work?
